George’s Secret Key to the Universe
by Lucy & Stephen Hawking
4 out of 5 stars
Science fiction plus science non-fiction all rolled into one. Written by Stephen Hawking and his daughter, Lucy, this is a tale that explains parts of the universe to kids.
George is an outsider thanks to his parents. They are trying to save the world and don’t see the consequences for their son. No TV, no computer, all natural food, limited electricity. Then George’s world opens up when new neighbors move in with the most amazing computer.
Annie and Eric, along with supercomputer Cosmo, bring the universe to George who in turn has to help them save it.
Filled with facts and pictures for the non-fiction lover. A good book for age 9 and up. This can help entice those children who don’t typically choose fiction.
